Born and raised in Vietnam, Tu Phan (he/they/them) moved to Winnipeg, Canada in 2017.  Tu recently earned a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts (Studio) at University of Manitoba, Canada in 2020, co-majored in Photography and Graphic Design. Tu is currently pursuing a career in fine art photography, while working full time as a technician in a photo finishing lab.

Over the years, Tu has developed an interest in documenting people and visualizing their stories via photographs. For Tu, each individual person has their own stories whether they would be happy, sorrow, tragic, or meaningful, etc., stories. Via Tu's photographs, Tu hopes these stories to be seen, heard, and felt by heart, loves, cares and kindnesses.

Other than that, Tu has found an intimate, special connection with nature. Tu's most recent works are focusing on their childhood, traumas, past, present and future. Tu tries to approach and achieve the topic throughout some written works and a collection of photographs and video projects of natural landscape.
